Taxes
Lukas is opposed to overreaching taxes that put burdens on Montana citizens and businesses. In the 2025 legislative session he introduced legislation to require at least 35% voter turnout for property tax levy elections, to restrict local governments and schools from raising property taxes (HB410). Lukas also introduced legislation to decrease income tax by $500 for long-time Montana residents (HB839). Aside from his own bills, he also voted for a bill to use tourist tax dollars to lower property taxes (SB90), and a bill to decrease income taxes (HB337). Next session Lukas will continue to fight for real tax relief for Montanans.
Pro-Life
Lukas is 100% pro-life. From the moment of conception babies have their own DNA. He will fight tooth and nail against the corrupt far-left MT Supreme Court to ensure that comprehensive pro-life laws are able to be passed and stay on the books. He also acknowledges the need to address the root causes of why people would even think to get an abortion in the first place. He will support a Child Tax Credit to address the immense government tax burden that is put on parents.
1st Amendment
Lukas will fight against the current onslaught of attacks on the 1st amendment from the left. Lukas opposes cancel culture, which is simply a tactic from the left used to damage their opposition. He will fight against internet and social media censorship, blacklisting, shadow-banning, etc., that are used to suppress conservative thought. Social media companies get special protection from the government that doesn’t allow them to be liable for content posted on their websites. If they continue to censor conservative content heavily, then they should not get this special government protection.
Election Integrity
Lukas will fight for free and fair elections. Without a secure election system, there won’t be any trust in government. Lukas will advocate for cleaning up the voter rolls, ensuring voter ID, banning same-day voter registration and more. Currently, no one is allowed to inspect the electronic tabulators used in our elections to make sure their code is secure and that they aren’t connected to the internet. Until we can verify that electronic tabulators are safe and secure, Lukas supports hand counting votes and guaranteeing a secure chain of custody. If France and Germany can hand count, why not us?
Housing
Lukas knows that the high cost of housing for many in the county is causing serious problems. This past session he introduced legislation to decrease taxes involved in the sale of new homes (HB895), he also introduced legislation to prohibit large foreign corporations from buying up houses (HB755). Going forward into next session Lukas will continue to fight strongly on this issue to bring back the American Dream of attainable property ownership.
Judicial Reform
Lukas knows this issue is very important to deal with since little to nothing can be done to address most other important issues without first dealing with the current judiciary. The current judiciary in Montana is very far-left; when they run for office, they take millions from Democrat-aligned organizations all while being able to claim they’re “non-partisan." Lukas will fight for transparent judicial elections and bring back true checks and balances to stop the judicial oligarchy.
Christianity
Lukas is a proud Christian. He will take Christian and Biblical values into account when making every decision in Helena. Lukas believes that it is important to go back to the roots of this country, being founded on Christian principles and values. While the separation of church and state means that the federal government cannot found a religion, it does not mean that individuals in the government have to conform to secularism.
Winning
Lukas knows all too well that Republicans have spent too long trying to simply be the Democrat party from five years ago. However, this doesn’t appeal to anyone. Leftists are insistent on the increasingly fast decline of this country while conservatives don’t want weak liberals from five years ago. The solution is for the GOP to take a stand and go on the offensive. For decades, we’ve been fighting a defensive battle and losing. Just to illustrate how far we’ve fallen, 40% of the country thinks it’s acceptable and brave for a young child to decide to castrate or drug themselves, permanently destroying their ability to have kids and stunting their growth. However, it doesn’t need to be this way. If Republicans take a stand, then we can push the Overton window back to a reasonable place. There is no room in this party for fake conservatives who simply support virtue signaling legislation and benefiting their donors but are glad to sell out their constituents that elected them.
Education
Lukas supports school choice and thinks education should have competition so the best educational institutions can prevail. He also is for curriculum transparency in public schools so parents know what their children are learning. Lukas will fight against CRT and other attempts of leftist indoctrination in our schools.
2nd Amendment
Lukas is an ardent supporter of the 2nd amendment. It is what guarantees that all other rights are respected by the government. The amendment itself is very clear “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” He will oppose any effort by Democrats and fake conservatives to add restrictions on firearms. Lukas introduced legislation last session to prohibit state enforcement of federal firearm laws more restrictive than state law (HB733).
Energy
Lukas supports an energy sector driven by low-cost, high-efficiency solutions, not government mandates. Nuclear, oil, coal and hydroelectric remain some of the most efficient forms of energy and can help reduce cost of living if we unleash Montanan energy. In 2023, all of these forms of energy are the cleanest, environmentally speaking, that they’ve ever been and increasingly so. We need to ensure that Montana is an energy exporter, and if people want to produce energy through wind or solar, then they should be able to, the issue is with mandating an unreliable, high-cost form of energy that depresses the economy while the real global polluters (China and India) change nothing.
Illegal Immigration
Lukas will fight against illegal immigration and mass migration at the state level. In the 2025 session he introduced legislation to revoke business licenses of employers that intentionally hire illegal aliens (HB 536). Lukas also introduced legislation to create a state-level crime of harboring or aiding and abetting illegal aliens (HB 896). Going forward he will continue to take action against illegal immigration because it increases crime and decreases wages and job opportunities for Americans.
